This talented and culturally-diverse company preserves the throbbing and soul-stirring sounds, which traditionally celebrated special occasions and accompanied the farmer's year, and that are still believed to have special powers.

17th Annual Lunar New Year Festival of Chinese Dance, Music & Peking Opera
This popular annual concert is New York's largest performance celebration of the Lunar New Year. The Nori Company brings the traditions of ancient Korea remarkably to life in a lively performance of ritual drumming and dancing. Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company brings the rich tradition of Chinese art into the contemporary dance world. Its wide-ranging repertory includes dances that originated over thousands of years ago and choreography created by Ms. Nai-Ni Chen for her multi-ethnic troupe. The Korean Channel Boy's and Girl's Choir helps children of Korean heritage develop a sense of their culture and Korean music. Under the leadership of conductor and founder Yang Jae Won, the Choir has become a well-respected symbol of the Korean community.

Woes no more. This multi-level workshop is for writers who have short stories, chapters of novels and novellas, and other prose pieces that seem to be finished, well not really, but . . . let's look at them, polish them, then send them out for publication!!! The six weeks will be devoted entirely to work criticism and strategizing for publication.

Performance Workshop with Peeling
What's more stimulating than sex, more satisfying than pearl milk tea and lasts six weeks long? The answer could be Peeling's drama/performance workshop, which will use autobiography as a departure point. We'll use writing, movement, improv, and other theatre techniques to create individual and group performances. No previous theatre experience required. Peeling members Dan Bacalzo, Jin Auh, Aileen Cho, Sesh Mudumbai, Celena Cipriaso, Jennifer Ahn, Dustin Chinn, Erwin Falcon, Steve Huang, Roger An and Fitz Mangubat will lead you through the creative process that has fueled more than six years of wildly popular shows.

Shangai Acrobatic Theatre
