Also the 2010 conference will coincide with the Smithsonian Folk Life
Festival featuring Asian American and Pacific Islanders, which will give
conference attendees an opportunity to participate in many activities
related to the festival.
On Friday, June 25, the Asian American Justice Center
will convene all Census 2010 grantees to review and share best practices and
lessons learned in promoting Asian Census Complete Count in their respective
regions.

The Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) and IW Group
will convene a full day symposium on issues impacting the world of nonprofit
organizations. The event will focus on market trends and the myriad of
issues impacting the world of private foundations as well as tools for
nonprofit leaders to build their brands, improve their marketing, utilize
social and media resources, find new funding sources, and to keep more of
what they raise. The Asian/Pacific Islander American nonprofit community
will have a rare opportunity to meet corporate and foundation leaders from a
plethora of industries and issue areas, including finance, banking,
insurance, retail, communications, social media and more. These corporate
and foundation leaders will provide their perspectives on how the greater
APIA nonprofit community will benefit from more targeted marketing,
branding, prospecting and media relations.
